Join us as a Video Infrastructure Production Sales Professionalto expand our presence across the North American market, with a particular focus on sports organizations and Division II schools. The ideal candidate will be passionate about Video Infrastructure and have a strong background in selling high-tech broadcast equipment and solutions. This role requires extensive travel and offers the flexibility to be based anywhere in the United States. 

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES 

  • Drive Sales Growth: Lead the expansion of Riedel’s Video Infrastructure solutions, specializing in video infrastructure for sports and Division II educational environments. 

  • Relationship Building: Cultivate and maintain strong connections with key decision-makers in the broadcast and sports industries. 

  • Client Liaison: Serve as the primary point of contact for North American clients, delivering exceptional service and technical expertise. 

  • Business Development:Identify and pursue new opportunities within targeted segments, including broadcasters, sports organizations, and educational institutions. 

  • Product Presentation: Showcase Video Infrastructure products at client meetings, industry events, and trade shows, highlighting their value and competitive edge. 

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work with internal teams, such as product management and technical support, to ensure customer satisfaction and effectively resolve inquiries. 

  • Achieve Sales Targets: Meet and exceed sales goals while contributing to the overall success of the company. 

THAT'S YOU 

  • Experience:Minimum of 5 years in broadcast sales, with a focus on Video Infrastructure solutions. 

  • Industry Knowledge:Strong understanding of the broadcast landscape, particularly within sports and educational institutions. 

  • Relationship Management:Proven ability to build and sustain long-term customer relationships. 

  • Sales Success:Track record of consistently meeting or surpassing sales targets in a competitive environment. 

  • Territory Management:Experience managing a large territory and willing to travel extensively (up to 60% of the time). 

  • Communication Skills: Exceptional communication, negotiation, and presentation abilities. 

  • Independent Worker:Capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously and working independently. 

  • Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with Video Infrastructure products and video infrastructure workflows is a plus.

Preferred Qualifications 

  • Sports Production Experience:Strong understanding of the broadcast and live production landscape, particularly in sports (e.g., game-day productions, replay systems, venue-wide signal distribution) and Division II/educational institutions (budget-conscious IP migrations). 

  • Knowledge of complementary technologies: Cloud-based streaming (SRT, RTMP), fiber/RF systems, or live production tools (switchers, replay servers). 

  • Strong passion for advancing video infrastructure: demonstrated by keeping current with key industry developments including IP transition and scalability, commercialization of off-the-shelf (COTS) hardware, and related innovations. 

  • Sales Experience: Background in selling to broadcasters, sports leagues, or educational institutions. 

 Technical Skills and Knowledge  

  • SMPTE ST 2110 Expertise: Comprehensive understanding of ST 2110-20 video, -30/-31 audio with AES67, PTP synchronization ST 2059, seamless protection switching ST 2022-7  

  •  Understanding uncompressed/compressed UHD/4K/HDR video; multicast routing (IGMP); spine-leaf network architectures; VLANs, UDP/RTP 

  • Hands-on knowledge bridging SDI/baseband with IP infrastructures, including gateways, converters, and processing  

  •  Related Standards and Technologies: Familiarity with ST 2022-6/7, AES67/Dante audio-over-IP, JPEG-XS compression (ST 2110-22)
