YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
As Procurement Category Manager Logistics (m/f/d) you will develop and implement logistics procurement strategies for the RIEDEL Group, ensuring alignment with overall business objectives. Your work will help optimize costs, enhance supplier performance, increase efficiency, and ensure compliance across all logistics categories.
Your responsibilities in detail:
- Develop Global Strategies: Define and implement logistics procurement strategies that align with business needs and drive cost efficiency, performance, and sustainability
- Manage Service Providers: Identify, evaluate, and select logistics partners based on cost, quality, capacity, and reliability, fostering strong long-term relationships
- Lead Tenders & Negotiations: Manage global tender processes and negotiate contracts, SLAs, and pricing to secure optimal value and minimize risks
- Collaborate Across Functions: Work closely with Supply Chain, Operations, Production, and Sales to translate requirements into effective sourcing strategies
- Optimize Logistics & Packaging: Improve efficiency through route optimization, supplier consolidation, and the review of packaging units to enhance utilization and sustainability
- Ensure Compliance: Safeguard adherence to trade compliance standards, customs regulations, and internal procurement policies
- Monitor Market Trends: Analyze carrier landscapes, logistics technologies, and global market trends to anticipate opportunities and risks
- Track & Report Performance: Monitor category KPIs, cost savings, and performance metrics, providing regular updates and recommendations to senior management
