YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage pre-sales tasks in coordination with the Sales teams to gather customer requirements and functional specification to create system designs and proposals addressing customer and partner needs Directly consult with customers, partners, system integrators, consultants, and Riedel staff to design systems that meet and exceed client requirements both technologically and commercially
  • Understand the customer market and business segment to provide highly competitive, targeted solutions
  • Produce full-scale, elaborate written technical proposals, system designs, and drawings
  • Manage technical responses to RFP/RFI tenders  
  • Represent the company at customer-facing and industry events, such as events, tradeshows, panels  
  • Prepare industry leading quality customer facing proposal supplements (drawings, SOW’s, etc.)
  • Provide consultancy throughout the sales and post-sale lifecycle, assisting the Professional Services team and Customers in project implementation, capturing knowledge learned
  • Identify opportunities to expand the customer solution, as well as capturing new customer requirements to expand the feature set
  • Manage the hand-over to the Professional Services and Support teams helping resolve technical issues as they arise
  • Organise and/or deliver product demonstrations (demo), proof of concepts (POC’s) and presentations of products and solutions onsite or online
  • Proactively educate clients and business partners to enhance their product and solutions knowledge, technical acumen, and technical sales skills
  • Act as market and industry aware collaborator providing information on competition and market trends 

THAT'S YOU

  • Strong background and passion for Live Video Production operations
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in sales, sales engineering, or pre-sales – ideally in a technical environment
  • Proven track record in delivering technical solutions and achieving results in a comparable sales role
  • In-depth understanding of the Broadcast and Media Technology industry and its evolving landscape
  • Confident working with CRM and development tools, especially Salesforce, Jira, and Confluence
  • Solid knowledge of digital audio technologies and standards, including AES3, AES67, ST 2110, NMOS, and PTP
  • Familiarity with video standards such as SDI, ST 2110, ST 2022-6, NMOS, and PTP
  • Strong grasp of IP networking protocols and standards (TCP, UDP, IGMP, VLAN, PTP); Cisco or Arista certification is a plus
  • Experience with fiber optic and RF systems is an advantage
  • Skilled in CAD tools such as AutoCAD and Visio
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 and Microsoft Teams
  • Meticulous attention to detail and a strong work ethic
  • Able to work independently, while thriving in collaborative, cross-functional teams
  • Willingness and flexibility to travel frequently, both domestically and internationally
  • Fluent in Japanese and English (minmium B1-B2), additional languages are a plus
