YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage pre-sales tasks in coordination with the Sales teams to gather customer requirements and functional specification to create system designs and proposals addressing customer and partner needs
  • Directly consult with customers, partners, system integrators, consultants, and Riedel staff to design systems that meet and exceed client requirements both technologically and commercially
  • Produce full-scale, elaborate written technical proposals, system designs, and drawings
  • Manage technical responses to RFP/RFI tenders  
  • Contribute to the company’s in-depth product Knowledge Base and participate in the practices of Knowledge Centred Service (KCS)
  • Engage in the delivery of commissioning services; configuration, testing and validation at customer site for Riedel portfolio and 3rd party products
  • Deliver detailed technical training internally and externally for Riedel portfolio and 3rd party products
  • Manage the installation, configuration and testing of Riedel portfolio products and 3rd party products for tradeshows and events
  • Represent the company at customer-facing and industry events, such as events, tradeshows, panels
  • Engage in technical support cases to diagnose faults at customer sites and provide recommendation for resolution
  • Support and participate in the Technical Support Service Level Agreement on-call roster as required, may include working on weekends
  • Provide consultancy throughout the sales and post-sale lifecycle, assisting the Professional Services team and Customers in project implementation, capturing knowledge learned
  • Identify opportunities to expand the customer solution, as well as capturing new customer requirements to expand the feature set
  • Organise and/or deliver product demonstrations (demo), proof of concepts (POC’s) and presentations of products and solutions onsite or online
  • Proactively educate clients and business partners to enhance their product and solutions knowledge, technical acumen, and technical sales skills
  • Act as market and industry aware collaborator providing information on competition and market trends 

THAT'S YOU

  • 3+ years of combined sales, sales engineering, pre-sales experience
  • Record of achievement and technical solution expertise in a comparable technical sales role
  • Strong understanding of the Broadcast and Media technology market  
  • Knowledge and experience with both development and CRM tools and software (Salesforce, Atlassian Jira/Confluence preferred)
  • Knowledge of communication, digital audio technologies and standards (AES3, AES67, ST 2110, NMOS, PTP)
  • Knowledge of video technologies and standards (SDI, ST 2110, ST 2022-6, NMOS, PTP)   
  • Knowledge of IP technologies and standards (TCP, UDP, IGMP, VLAN, PTP, with Cisco or Arista certification preferred)
  • Knowledge of fibre optic systems and RF systems a plus
  • Proficient with CAD design (AutoCAD, Visio etc…)
  • Excellent communication & presentation skills, with strong knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 suite and Microsoft Teams  
  • Attention to detail and a strong work ethic
  • Ability to work independently, while contributing to a team environment collaborating across departments
  • Ability to travel frequently internationally 
  • Fluent in English and Mandarin; Cantonese preferred; additional languages (e.g. German) are a plus.
