YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Execute remote deployment and configuration of client’s (backend) systems, adhering to company standards and protocols
  • Monitor and troubleshoot backend infrastructure to minimize downtime and maintain service quality
  • Provide first and second-level technical support to resolve incidents or escalate complex issues as needed
  • Conduct routine test and wracking activities to verify system readiness and performance
  • Collaborate with the global Customer Success/Technical Services team to address cross-regional technical challenges
  • Document and maintain records of system configurations, incidents, and resolutions for future reference
  • Proactively identify areas for process improvement and automation to enhance operational efficiency
  • Stay up to date with emerging technologies and backend best practices to ensure system robustness

THAT'S YOU

  • Completed (Bachelor) studies in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field or a comparable qualification
  • 3+ years of experience in backend IT engineering or a similar role, ideally in the broadcast or communications technology
  • Proficiency in backend technologies such as servers, databases, APIs, and networking protocols
  • Hands-on experience with Linux and Windows server environments
  • Familiarity with virtualization tools and cloud platforms (e.g. AWS, Azure, VMware)
  • Working knowledge of the following is advantageous: Enterprise networking and deployment environments, Complex network routing and firewall concepts, Virtualisation concepts (VMWare, Hyper-V, Proxmox / KVM), Domain Name Systems (including Split-DNS resolution scenarios),Containerization Technologies (Docker, Kubernetes), HashiCorp Software (Nomad & Consul)
  • User Directory Services (Active Directory)
  • Excellent problem-solving skills
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
  • Willingness to work in rotating shifts to provide 24/7 support, incl. willingness to travel
  • Fluent in English (written and spoken)
  • Other languages are advantageous
  • must be authorized to legally work in Malaysia
