YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
As IT Procurement Category Manager, you will develop and implement category strategies for IT procurement, focusing on software (licenses, SaaS), hardware (infrastructure, devices), and IT services (rentals, leasing). Your efforts will help optimize cost, improve supplier performance, and reduce risks, all while ensuring we meet our business objectives.
- Develop Category Strategies: You develop and execute procurement strategies for software, hardware, and IT services, ensuring we optimize costs, improve quality, and drive performance across all categories.
- Manage Supplier Relationships: You’ll identify, evaluate, and select suppliers based on cost, quality, and performance. Building strong, long-term relationships with key suppliers will be key to ensuring consistent delivery and driving innovation.
- Negotiate Contracts: You’ll take the lead in negotiating supplier contracts, including service level agreements (SLAs), pricing, and terms, to secure the best value while managing risks like supply chain disruptions and price volatility.
- Collaborate Across Teams: You’ll partner with internal stakeholders to define procurement needs, aligning strategies with business goals and acting as the bridge between procurement, IT, and other relevant business units to ensure alignment and effective communication.
- Drive Cost Savings: Through strategic sourcing, supplier consolidation, and demand management, you’ll identify and drive cost savings initiatives.
- Analyze Market Trends: You’ll keep a close eye on emerging market trends, supplier landscapes, and emerging technologies to identify opportunities and risks.
- Report on Performance: You’ll provide regular updates to senior management on category performance, savings, and key performance indicators (KPIs), ensuring transparency and alignment.
- Ensure Compliance: You’ll ensure all contracts adhere to regulatory requirements and internal policies and overall compliance with company policies, legal requirements, and sustainability goals.
