Join us as Senior Embedded Software Developer (m/f/d) on this exciting journey and experience the fascination of Riedel Communications in action.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Design, develop, and maintain embedded software for an advanced wireless intercom system.
  • Autonomously plan, design, implement, and test software components for embedded systems and Linux-based platforms. 
  • Take ownership of specific areas within the system's software architecture, ensuring their successful delivery and integration.
  • Actively participate in sprint planning and contribute to cross-functional com-pany initiatives to promote collaboration.
  • Elevate the team by providing high-quality code reviews and creating exem-plary reference code. 
  • Mentor and guide junior developers through paired programming and acting as a go-to resource for technical challenges. 
  • Contribute to product architecture discussions, solve critical bugs, and deliver new features. 
  • Drive and implement improvements to development processes.  Continuously improve product quality, security, and performance. 
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to align technical solutions with business and technology requirements.

THAT'S YOU

  • University degree in a technical discipline preferably in computer engineering and/or electronics
  • Solid 5Y+ experience in embedded software development.
  • Excellent proficiency in C++ (including STL) and object-oriented design; famili-arity with test-driven development (TDD) is a plus. 
  • Hands-on experience with Linux-based systems and development tools like Git, Jira, and Confluence.
  • Familiarity with agile software development methodologies.
  • Knowledge of standard internet protocols is an advantage. 
  • Self-motivated, with strong problem-solving skills and a commitment to pro-ducing high-quality software.
  • Passionate about programming and all aspects of software engineering
  • Pro-active team player who works on own initiative, result orientated, asking and giving assistance to other team-members
  • Good communicator with the ability to cross-domain thinking and willingness to collaborate closely with other company functions (engineering, management, customers, manufacturing)
  • Fluent in English (spoken and written), German is a plus
