YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Research compliance and certification requirements for hardware and software products globally.
  • Contribute and evolve the Riedel global certification knowledge base. Build certification gap reports to show key risk areas and recommend required mitigation actions to resolve issues.
  • Structure certification programs for certifying products across multiple countries.
  • Coordinate with compliance and safety certification houses to help transition development products into certified saleable products across global markets
  • Develop and manage relationships at key industry regulators and standards bodies for example FCC, OFCOM, ETSI. Provide insights into Riedel development teams regarding acceptable schemes that could be deployed
  • Build market intelligence on evolving certification standards globally
  • Liaise with Product Managers to ensure optimal regional coverage

THAT'S YOU

  • Successful completion of (technical) university studies, e.g. electronic/software engineering or related field or relevant experience in a business / technology environment.
  • 5+ years of proven experience of hardware product certification and type approval in a global capacity within a technology driven market e.g. comminications and/or video distribution systems.
  • Deep experience dealing with country certification bodies and third party certification houses
  • A highly motivated self-starter “driver” able to overcome issues and challenges
  • An organized and methodical personality able to build and manage structures and processes to ensure a coordinated approach to product certification.
  • Natural authority with strong persuasion skills able to influence resources across organizational boundaries
  • Capability to manage direct relationships with developers, product managers and external certification providers
  • Able to manage a number of projects simultaneously
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to build status reports
  • English (fluent), German is a plus
