Programme Director (m/f/d) - Maritime

With our special technologies and solutions we support event on land, water and the air. This includes international sailing and water sports competitions such as Americas Cup or SailGP.

These international sailing competitions with high-performance yachts are taking place in the most famous harbours worldwide such as Sydney or San Francisco.

Riedels services range from  sports critical system such as communication for the athletes, coaches and officials to essential broadcast elements such as camera boats, helicopters, replay solutions and many more for on-site and remote production. We operate complex wireless and fibre based media networks for all disciplines, offshore, onshore and globally.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Responsibility for the operational planning, organisation and execution of events and competition in the Maritime sector in close cooperation with our specialist departments, taking into account all technological and commercial aspects
  • Support and advise customers independently as the first point of contact, observing costs, time as well as workload and scope 
  • Systematically development of major single events and series by extending and enhancing our services for our customers in cooperation with our sales team 
  • Contribution of innovation and improvements to continuously expand the service portfolio and the service quality in cooperation with our development teams
  • Control of the operational implementation and preparation of reports and documentation throughout the entire project process
  • Lead by example - overall responsibility of the project team on site as well as coordination of external staff and service providers
  • Exchange with other programme directors on synergies and administrative to organisational topics
  • Ensuring a high level of quality within the team and towards all parties involved

THAT'S YOU

  • Industry-specific successfully completed apprenticeship, a university degree or comparable relevant professional experience
  • Technical background, e.g. in media, industrial engineering or electrical engineering
  • Several years of professional experience as a programme manager with overall responsibility in the event industry within an international environment, plus live broadcast experience including on-air responsibility
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills, including the ability to build and manage relationships effectively, both internally and externally
  • Good knowledge of methodological techniques for project planning and management
  • Very good written and spoken German and English skills
  • Willingness to travel very frequently/intensively internationally
