Role Summary

Due to the strong growth worldwide, it is time now to strengthen our global People Services Team with a passionate and driven People Operations Manager for the Riedel US team in our office in Santa Clarita, CA.

As a People Operations Manager, you will be a key strategic partner for leadership and a valuable resource for team members in the US. Whether through your experience in strategic thinking, transformational & cultural approach you are giving leaders and team members the guidance that they need to be successful, you will be a knowledgeable and trustful resource. Acting as an inclusive personality, you’ll make a positive impact on how team members experience organizational and sustainable change, and you’ll use information and close partnership with leaders to build teams that are empowered to achieve their goals.

What you will do:

  • Partner with stakeholders to offer creative HR advice with regards to people and culture, recruiting sought-after talent, establishing performance objectives and managing performance, offering learning opportunities, and providing a rewarding work experience.
  • Provide professional and individual HR support and consultation to the business in the U.S.; answering employees' and managers' queries about HR policies, processes, and all HR-related items including but not limited to recruiting, compensation, performance management, health & safety, medical, benefits, learning and development.
  • Foster strong, meaningful relationships with hiring managers to gain an understanding of their needs, organizational structure, business, and candidate requirements, and oversee recruitment and selection activities with support of a coordinator.
  • Support talent acquisition teams to attract, develop, engage, and retain strong and diverse talent.
  • Support the HRBP and our managers in all relevant people topics across the Employee Life Cycle, from demand planning to people development, performance management, employee relations, employee engagement as well as compensation planning.
  • Manage benefits by maintaining a taxable deduction file for brokerage firm, negotiating renewal and go-to-market strategies, and informing policy changes to the organization.
  • Partner with the global P&O Team to ensure high-quality implementation of critical planning and roll-out of HR operating rhythms such as performance management, compensation planning, digital automation of all HR processes, leveraging resources as appropriate.
  • Address and resolve employee relations issues, conducting objective investigations as necessary.
  • Continually seek opportunities to improve HR processes, programs, services, and solutions.
  • In partnership with the social committee, create a healthy and engaging work environment, implementing best practices, initiatives, and events.
  • Draft and implement HR policies, providing guidance and interpretation to people leaders in alignment with labor standards, monitoring local markets, federal and statutory regulations, workforce safety laws and other legal requirements.

You have a proven understanding of a future-driven people-centric function, and you bring a vibrant, enthusiastic, professional, and resourceful attitude to the table. You excel in interacting with personnel of all levels and have a knack for both working independently and collaboratively.

You thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and constantly seek out opportunities for improvement. You are comfortable adjusting your priorities as needed.

You will inspire us with:

  • Bachelor’s degree in HR Management or equivalent
  • At least 5 years relevant experience as an HR Generalist
  • Strong knowledge of labor standards and implications.
  • Good knowledge of the American labor market and a strong understanding of the essential legal framework (namely in California)
  • Distinct problem-solving competence, coupled with strong interpersonal, negotiation, and communications skills.
  • Strong work ethic and a professional attitude combined with high standards of excellence and discretion.
  • The initiative to proactively identify and address customer needs and provide recommendations for implementation.
  • Exceptional time and project management skills with the ability to handle several priorities.
  • Self-sufficiency with an HRIS and implementation, notably Success Factors modules.

Salary range: 80,000-95,000 USD per year, depending on qualifications and experience.
