As a result of continued growth, Riedel Communications is looking to hire a talented and motivated candidate to join our North America System Consultancy Team.

The candidate will can based in our US office (Santa Clarita, CA) or work remotely and will report into the Vice President Customer Success, Americas.

Your responsibilities

We are seeking an experienced Head of Systems Consulting and to lead the Americas based teams in providing excellent customer support and service.

For this demanding leadership full-time job, we are looking for a creative, flexible, pragmatic, self-organized, diligent and team-oriented person

  • With your superb communications skills and a passion for problem solving in a fast-paced team environment, you aim for operational excellence and the best customer experience
  • Develop and lead the System Consultants in the AMERICAS-Region, throughout the sales and post-sale lifecycle, ensuring opportunities are successfully delivered as practical and sustainable solutions, assisting the Professional Services team and Customers in project implementation, capturing knowledge learned, driving new business opportunities and growth, and capturing new customer requirements to improve products and solutions
  • Assist customers, system integrators, and Riedel sales staff by providing accurate system designs, statements of work, drawings, and proposals, and RFP/RFI responses, which address customer needs both technically and commercially
  • Manage, schedule, coordinate, and provide customer system demonstrations, proof of concept testing, tradeshow events, training events, and speaking engagements
  • Manage, schedule, and coordinate the configuration, programming, and software/firmware updates of demonstration equipment, including inventory management and prioritization, working closely with regional sales managers
  • Manage, schedule, coordinate, and provide internal technical and operations training to Sales and Customer Success teams within the region
  • Manage, facilitate, and ensure the successful handoff of all systems designs from pre-sales to professional services and customer support
  • Actively participate in and own Customer Success continual improvement programs, processes, working closely with cross-functional partners to meet goals

Your professional expertise

  • 5+ years of proven experience in a relevant market field, ideally in the broadcast or AV entertainment market
  • 4+ years’ experience as a team lead / manager, preferably in technical pre-sales or sales engineering
  • 3+ years’ experience in network architecture and deployment
  • Proven customer facing sales engineering, service, support, and consultancy experience in a relevant market field, ideally in the broadcast and entertainment market
  • Strong business acumen
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills
  • Excellent technical, troubleshooting, and analytical skills
  • Comfortable presenting to multiple attendees, both technical and non-technical/
  • Aptitude for negotiating firmly but fairly, demonstrating the ability to hold the line but also to be flexible.
  • Ability to work in ambiguous environments and when required can roll up the sleeves to work with team members to help design solutions.
  • Knowledge and experience with customer relationship management and development tools (SalesForce, Atlassian Jira/Confluence preferred)
  • Knowledge of IP/Broadcast technologies and standards (TCP, UDP, IGMP, VLAN, PTP, with Cisco or Arista certification preferred, SMPTE 2110, NMOS, VoIP/SIP, AoIP, AES67)
  • Knowledge of fiber optic systems and RF systems (DECT, WiFi, 5G)
  • Proficient with CAD design (AutoCad, Visio etc…)
  • Ability to multi-task and perform effectively under pressure, juggling multiple time-sensitive priorities
  • Demonstrated confidence in dealing with all levels of management, both internal and external
  • Ability to understand and escalate issues efficiently and appropriately
  • Ability to travel frequently, approximately 50 -60 %
