Riedel Communications, founded in 1987, designs, manufactures and distributes innovative real-time networks for video, audio and communications. As a result of continued growth, Riedel Communications is looking to hire a talented and motivated candidate to join our North America System Consultancy Team.

The team is customer facing and manages pre-sales and consultancy tasks in coordination with the Sales team, drafts system designs with Bill of Materials, provides market-aware technical, and engineering guidance to complete Sales proposals.

The System Consultants propose technical solutions that accurately address customer needs and work in collaboration with customer technical decision-makers. This is a collaborative role with multiple internal and external stakeholders where the team members also provide market feedback with on-the-ground experience as a customer-facing technical sales expert.

Your Responsibilities

  • Manage pre-sales tasks in coordination with the Sales teams to gather customer requirements and functional specification to create system designs and proposals addressing customer needs 
  • Directly consult with customers, system integrators, consultants, and Riedel staff to design systems that meet and exceed client requirements both technologically and commercially
  • Understand the customer market and business segment to provide highly competitive, targeted solutions
  • Produce full-scale, elaborate written technical proposals, system designs, and drawings
  • Manage technical responses to RFP/RFI tenders
  • Represent the company at customer-facing and industry events, such as events, tradeshows, panels
  • Prepare industry leading quality customer facing proposal supplements (drawings, SOW’s, etc.)
  • Provide consultancy throughout the sales and post-sale lifecycle, assisting the Professional Services team and Customers in project implementation, capturing knowledge learned
  • Organize and/or deliver product demonstrations (demo), proof of concepts (POC’s) and presentations of products and solutions onsite or online

Your Profile

  • Bachelor’s degree in information technology, SW/EE engineering, computer science, or related field
  •  3+ years of combined sales, sales engineering, presales experience
  •  Record of achievement and technical solution expertise in a comparable technical sales role
  • Strong understanding of the Broadcast / Media technology market
  • Knowledge and experience with both development and CRM tools and software (Salesforce, Atlassian Jira/Confluence preferred)
  •  Knowledge of communication, digital audio technologies and standards (AES3, AES67, ST 2110, NMOS, PTP)
  • Knowledge of video technologies and standards (SDI, ST 2110, ST 2022-6, NMOS, PTP) 
  • Knowledge of IP technologies and standards (TCP, UDP, IGMP, VLAN, PTP, with Cisco or Arista certification preferred)
  • Excellent communication & presentation skills, with strong knowledge of PowerPoint, Word, Excel

Salary range varies from $90,000.00 - $125,000.00 yearly, depending on the qualifications and experiences.
