As a result of our continued growth, Riedel Communications is looking to hire a talented and motivated candidate to join our Product Management Team as UX Designer (m/f/d) close to one of our locations.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:

You help create user-centred designs for professional, media-industry configuration, operation and monitoring software from concepts and wire-framing, to detailed mockups and walk-throughs to user-focused testing which help in the various stages of the NPI process. You design based on a combination of industry research, product requirements, workflow descriptions and aesthetic judgements to enlarge and maintain the Design System used in Riedel UX projects.

You work hand in hand with Workflow Architects to conceptualise and describe current and future media industry best practices and work closely with internal stakeholders, in particular Product Managers, on holistic cross platform UI/UX concepts with a view to help unify elements together seamlessly.

Your tasks as UX Designer (m/d/d) will also include the following tasks:

  • Meet with internal and external stakeholders to gather requirements, design goals and other informers to the design process
  • Create wireframes and other early prototypes to verify design and user flows using tools such as Balsamiq.
  • Work on designs covering mobile, tablet and desktop interfaces with needs for responsive design
  • Maintain style guides, design systems and other UX resources used by other teams within the organisation
  • Plan and conduct remote and on-site & remote user research and usability testing with real users to ensure the end-product design provides users with the optimum experience in terms of efficiency, effectiveness and engagement
  • Work with Workflow Architects to create detailed step-by-step mockups which describe workflows for development and system testing purposes using Sketch, Invision, Adobe products among others.
  • Help in the description of data bindings and GUI/App actions required
  • Write reports and communicate the results of your work
  • Run workshops for clients and internal stakeholders and create presentations to increase UX knowledge and terminology within the organisation
  • Research, document and present the latest industry trends relating to designs and UX within and beside the B2B media industries

WHO ARE YOU?

  • Ideally, you have a successful completed university studies in a technical field, e.g. Electronic/Software engineering, (Industrial) Design, Fine Arts or related field or relevant experience in a business / technology environment.
  • 5+ years of proven experience in a relevant market field
  • Deep experience in UX and graphic design with an emphasis on digital delivery, web and responsive design
  • Operational experience within the media industries is an advantage
  • Highly motivated self-starter able to overcome issues and challenges
  • Team player with a strong desire for collective responsibility and a passion to see everyone succeed and with an internal and external customer centric mindset who can collaborate effectively with different stakeholders
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to clearly articulate ideas, designs, and suggestions and the ability to explain complex concepts in a simplified manner and incorporate ideas from key stakeholders
  • Capability to manage direct relationships with customers, developers and industry thought leaders
  • Mobility and willingness to travel
