As a result of our continued growth, Riedel Communications is looking to hire a talented and motivated candidate to join our Product Management Team as Head of Video Product Management (m/f/d) close to one of our locations.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:

As Head of Video Product Management (m/f/d) you lead the Video Product Management Team at Riedel and drive the team to continue to develop world class video products in Riedel’s chosen markets. Your tasks will also include the following:

  • Track technology trends and validate product requirements and specifications with core stakeholders, lead customers and channel partners
  • Build product strategies and roadmaps to deliver growth, improved margins and strengthen competitive positioning
  • Ability to gather market intelligence, understand how the market is segmented, how customers use products and carry out competitive benchmarking
  • Identify new market opportunities and develop financial business cases for New Product developments
  • Track product family financial performance and trends
  • Develop core product messaging and positioning with the Business Development & Marketing teams
  • Be a champion for the Video product portfolio with internal and external audiences and support sales teams in customer engagement
  • Set global pricing and default discount levels and maintain Master Pricelist
  • Manage product lifecycle for in-life product portfolio and End-of-Life
  • Participate in optimization of the Product Management organization through continuous improvement of business processes
  • Represent the company at trade fairs and be a thought leader in industry forums and events
  • Mobility and willingness to travel, e.g. regular presence in our Riedel HQ in Wuppertal as well as Montreal and Vienna

WHO ARE YOU?

EDUCATION & PROFESSIONAL RECORD:

  • Successful completion of (technical) university studies, e.g. Electronic or Software Engineering, Design, Fine Arts or related field or relevant experience in a business / technology environment
  • 5+ years of proven experience in a relevant market field
  • Deep experience in Product Management with 5+ years experience in a soft-ware/hardware manufacturing business with international customer base
  • Proven track record of successful new product development using Stage Gate and Agile processes
  • Strong knowledge of video production workflows, video processing, IP media networks and cloud production is essential
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to clearly articulate ideas, trends and concepts – fluent English is a must have, other language skills are a plus (e.g. German)

  • Business-minded personality that is respected and accepted in product issues by management, colleagues and external industry experts
  • Natural authority, sociable and outgoing personality with strong persuasion skills able to influence resources across organizational boundaries
  • Strong attention to detail with a keen eye for aesthetics
