As a result of our continued growth, Riedel Communications is looking to hire a talented and motivated candidate as Executive Director Global Sales Operations (m/f/d) to join our team.

The primary responsibility of the Sales Operations Manager is to enable and support the growth of our global customer base through successful adoption of technology, processes and strategies that match and exceed our customer expectations and Riedel’s overall business goals. You will be the ambassador of customer success and will align our sales organization and all corporate and supporting functions to the same goals. 

As a Sales Operations Manager you will lead improvement initiatives to enable a frictionless end-to-end customer centric processes.  You and your team take care of everything our customer facing team need to have in place to be successful in their day-to-day activities.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Develop and establish a state-of-the-art Sales Operations function worldwide through organizational design, process improvements and implementation of continuous learning and competence development 
  • Guide and manage a team of Sales Operations professionals, including but not limited to Order Management, Business Analytics, Sales Coordination 
  • Contribute to the definition and deployment of a worldwide S&OP process, including pipeline management and sales forecasting (demand planning) 
  • Sponsor and drive adoption of core technologies and systems required to run the sales business, e.g. CRM / Quotation tools (Salesforce), ERP (SAP S/4HANA), BI (PowerBI), etc. 
  • Streamline and optimize the sales practices and workflows, in close collaboration with all related functions, to ensure a customer centric end-to-end process 
  • Drive sales analytics and intelligence and be the owner for master data and CRM data quality 
  • Own the end-to-end process of tracking the sales funnel. Identify sales process bottlenecks, contradictions and inconsistencies, and recommend how to eliminate those 
  • Create and maintain documentation on sales processes and policies 
  • Select and define sales metrics/KPI’s and establish reporting, dashboards and sales performance management, based on dashboards and regular reporting formats 
  • Design and administer Sales Incentive Programs and Sales Compensation Plans, in close collaboration with HR and Sales Leadership
  • Work with Sales leadership and deliver strategic project and transformation support 

The candidate we are looking for brings:

  • University degree in Technology (like Computer Science, Business Informatics, Industrial Engineering) or Business Administration with a preferably technical background 
  • Strong proven experience in sales operations, sales or sales-support leadership roles in an B2B-environment 
  • A proven ability to identify and lead growth enabling initiatives & understanding when it is needed to adjust in order to improve sales performance 
  • The experience of having owned the end-to-end process of tracking the sales process and conversion rates throughout the sales funnel 
  • A solid understanding of how to effectively leverage and interact with various teams throughout the organization 
  • Strong organizational, presentation and& planning skills, program and& project management capabilities 
  • Strong analytical skills, conceptional thinking and experience with transformation of business functions 
  • Experience in B2B SaaS business and/or investment goods
  • Strong presentation skills, excellent communicator in an intercultural, global environment 
  • CRM (Salesforce) and ERP (SAP S/4HANA) knowledge and affinity for the digitization of processes and tasks 
  • Fluent English; German and additional languages are an asset.
  • Willingness to travel
