As a result of our continued growth, Riedel Communications France in Paris is looking to hire a talented and motivated candidate to join our Team. Become part of this fantastic team as Service & Support Technician and work in an international environment and in one of the most exciting industries.

YOUR AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Providetechnical support to external and internal customers and especially look after the Riedel France & Africa customer base hotline as a first and second level Support
  • Support customers with remote online sessions and visit customers « on-site » to perform debug and resolve problems, when needed
  • Reproduce issues in the lab
  • Look after local service and repair tasks in close cooperation with Riedel head-office
  • Execute commissioning of baseband and IP based audio and video systems
  • Hand over systems to customers including training
  • Participate in the 24/7 hotline
  • Work closely with your Support & Sales colleagues in EMEA or at the headquarters and collaborate in cross functional teams like Product Management and R&D

YOUR PROFILE

  • Successfully completed university studies or completed equivalent trainee program e.g. in electrical engineering, communications engineering, Audiovisual & Information Technology
  • 2+ years of proven experience in a relevant market field, ideally in the (outside) broadcast and entertainment market
  • Experience in network architecture and deployment
  • Knowledge of communication, digital audio, video and IP technology (AES3, AES67, SDI, ST 2110, ST 2022-6) as well as IP standards (TCP, UDP, IGMP, VLAN, PTP)
  • Knowledge of fiber optic systems as a plus
  • Always on the hunt for improvement, constructive feedback is greatly appreciated
  • Strong customer focus with superb communication skills
  • Curious to learn and enjoy keeping up to date with the latest advances in technology
  • Effectively communicate and disseminate information to the clients
    and to the team
  • Team player in a diverse and international team, with the ability to cross-domain thinking and the will to collaborate closely with other functions
  • Strong ability to adapt quickly to changing situations and a superb attention to detail and work to the highest standard
  • Excellent language skills in French and English, any additional language is a plus
  • High grade of flexibility and are willed to travel mainly in France
